baby boy shower

A few nights ago I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for my friend and her new baby boy. I love these types of celebrations!

Some party details:

Of course the only photo I took of the food table was before all the food was on it. (I would do something like that – maybe [...]

christmas recap: hot cocoa social

Christmas week was just as I hoped it would be. I spent tons of time with my little family. We (Chris, mostly) did a few projects around the house, raked leaves, and had a party. In years past, we have delivered plates of treats to our neighbors and friends around Christmas time, but [...]

freebie & other good things

One activity from our advent calendar this year was to play Christmas Bingo with a few friends. Well, that’s what we did Saturday and it was lots of fun. So much fun that I didn’t even take photos. Why does that always happen? Oh well. I’m sharing my Christmas Bingo boards with you. To download [...]

birthday tutu

Our little neighbor friend turned 4 and we decided to make her a tutu. I should have done a tutorial for this one because it’s super easy (no sewing!) but I didn’t. However, I did stumble upon Design Mom’s tutu tutorial from a while back and it is very similar to what I did. Or [...]

pioneer party

We celebrated Pioneer Day with a party (even though we do not live in Utah). And it was really fun. Crafts. Games. Snacks.

The night before I assembled everything: craft stuff in a big bowl, snack stuff in a crate, silverware in a flower pot (not as good of an idea as I thought it would [...]

animal baby shower

Like I’ve mentioned before, I am so excited to have a new nephew on his way to earth. It is great cause for celebrating. So, our family decided to celebrate together over a delicious dinner in mom’s fabulous yellow dining room. My sister, mom and I all worked together to make this meal from scratch. [...]

brownie burgers

Happy Fourth of July (a little late, I know)! My mother-in-law made these brownie burger cupcakes. Bakerella is always up to something tasty. It was a lot of work but a huge hit with my boys (kiddos and husband!). Really cute idea. I especially love the American Flag cupcake toppers. Good work, Karen!

As for me, [...]

email invitations

I’m a paper person and so I’d much rather get an invitation to a party on paper rather than in my email box. However, I have recently deiscovered pingg.com and it’s amazing. I used it for the baby shower and am so impressed with the site. My favorite part is the ‘upload your own photo’ [...]

baby shower

I just finished hosting my first baby shower for a good friend. She is pregnant with her first baby and so I was really hoping to help her feel extra special. I pretty much put my life on hold to pull everything together for the shower, but it was well worth the effort!

Decorations:

All the decorations [...]
