I just finished hosting my first baby shower for a good friend. She is pregnant with her first baby and so I was really hoping to help her feel extra special. I pretty much put my life on hold to pull everything together for the shower, but it was well worth the effort!
Decorations:
All the decorations were pink and green – scrapbooking paper banners, handmade brownie toppers, wrapping paper table runner, pink tulips on the table and in the half bath, green paper products, coordinating silverware caddy, pom poms over the couch. I used paper to make everything.

Menu:
Cucumber & cream cheese sandwiches, southwest egg rolls, mango salsa and chips, green grapes, broccoli salad, brownies, ‘turtle’ treats, and 3 kinds of cake balls (chocolate, carrot, lemon).

Game:
I invited each guest to write down something they see in Ashlee that will make her a great mom (ie patience, love, sense of humor, etc) on papers I had made and then i quickly bound them together before the guests left into a little “mommy confidence book”
Party Favor:
I packaged two cake balls into left over baby food jars I had laying around. I topped them with waxed paper, jute twine, and labels. Huge success.
